What is the difference between AISI 304L and AISI 316L stainless steel fittings?
AISI 304L is suitable for general water, air and technical fluid installations and standard industrial applications. AISI 316L provides greater corrosion resistance and is recommended for more demanding environments, chemical and food-processing industries, petrochemical applications, corrosive media or installations with greater exposure to aggressive agents.

The main difference is the wall thickness of the pipe. SCH10 fittings are designed for thinner-wall pipes, commonly used in installations where a lighter pipe system is required and the operating pressure and conditions allow it.

SCH40 fittings are used with thicker-wall pipes, providing a more robust and resistant installation suitable for applications with greater mechanical, pressure or durability requirements.
